Best Foods and Habits for Everyday Wellbeing

No single food transforms your health. What you eat most days, though, genuinely matters.

Hydration first

Water is the simplest lever most people aren't pulling. Keep a bottle visible, drink through the day rather than all at once, and remember that tea, coffee and food all contribute.

Plenty of plants

Vegetables, fruit, beans, nuts and wholegrains give you fibre and a wide range of nutrients. The practical target is variety across the week rather than perfection at every meal.

Go easy on salt

UK adults are advised to keep to no more than 6g of salt a day, roughly a teaspoon. Most of it comes from processed food, bread and takeaways rather than the salt cellar, so it's worth glancing at labels.

Move often, not just hard

The official UK guidance is 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, plus strengthening twice a week. Walking counts. So does gardening, dancing and carrying shopping.

Sleep and stress

Both affect appetite, energy and how your body handles fluid. A consistent bedtime does more for most people than any supplement.

Where a daily ritual fits

If a herbal routine like Verdaflow helps you keep the rest of these habits in mind each morning, that's a reasonable role for it. It sits alongside the basics rather than replacing them.
